KTM Commuter
historical year 1995 was the year when the successful introduction of commuter commuter train service is the first electric train in Malaysia that emphasizes speed, accuracy, safety and environmental hygiene.Frequent commuter service, comfort at an affordable price for residents in the Klang Valley with the main aim to reduce congestion.
Commuter train in staggered start and run commercial sector to sector Islamabad - Rawalpindi started on August 14, 1995. By December 18, 1995, all sectors in the Klang Valley which includes 22 stations and 17 stops fully operational.
Commuter train service has been so quickly recognized as a mode of convenient transportation and fast.Commuter train now carries more than about 1.7 million passengers a month. Frequency is between 15 to 30 minutes.
STAR - LRT
STAR System - LRT was completed in 1996. This system was built over 27 km and has 25 stations.
Currently, the STAR - LRT has 2 carriages which can accommodate 800 passengers with a maximum speed of 70 km per hour, while the average operating speed (34 km per hour) which includes the stop at the station.
This trend was in operation for 18 hours a day from 6.00 am to 12.00 midnight. Trip frequency between 3 to 5 minutes during rush hour and 8 to 15 minutes at normal. System 1 (Phase 1) can accommodate 16,000 passengers per hour for one-way trip.
Route Phase 2 STAR - LRT has 2 lines. One of them is a path along the 9.5 km extension built from Chan Sow Lin to Sri Petaling and also include additional routes as far as 3 km from Jalan Sultan Ismail into Sentul East. However, an additional route to the East will be completed in 1999.
Putra - LRT
Putra - LRT was established in October 24, 1994. It covers a distance of 29 km connecting the eastern and western outskirts of Kuala Lumpur is a densely populated area in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur.
The entire route from Subang Valley Depot to Terminal Putra Gombak divided into two sections. The first section of the Valley, Subang Depot Art Market station while the second section, from Pasar Seni station to Terminal Putra in Gombak. However, it is expected to begin operations in mid-1999.
Putra - LRT trains operate with 35 units of detached and moved with an average speed of 40 km per hour.One-way passengers per hour capacity is 10,000 people and this number is expected to increase to 30,000.
All trains equipped with air-conditioning system while providing 90 minute frequency at peak times and between 5-10 minutes outside peak hours. Train services from 6.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily. When completed in 1999, it will emerge as the only one of the longest driverless system in the world.
By the year 2000, the three systems will complement an integral part of an integrated urban transport system and comprehensive as planned for Kuala Lumpur.

A proposal to organise an international maritime and aerospace exhibition was forwarded to the Government in 1990. The proposal was approved as it was consistent with government’s programmers to develop maritime and aerospace technology in the country. The government decided that the exhibition be held at Langkawi, an island situated in the north of Peninsular Malaysia between latitude 6 10’N to 6 30’N and longitude 99 35’E to 100 00’E. The aim of having the exhibition in Langkawi was to develop the island commercially especially in the fields of maritime and aerospace and at the same time to promote the island as a popular tourist destination. The first Langkwai International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition was held in Langkwai from 11 - 15 November 1991.
