7th Malaysian National Jamboree


Scouts in Malaysia was established in 1910 . This development has now spread to all districts in the states in Malaysia.

Since independence, Malaysia Scout movement patterns have been modified with the time requirements and aspirations. Training scheme has been coordinated with the education curriculum.

Scouts is a volunteer organization is unique and interesting. It has its own principles of broad and noble.The goal of this movement is to absorb the values ​​of high fidelity, good character, endurance in facing the challenges of life and independence. Values ​​that give effect to make them useful citizens to society in the context of national development. With the concept of education and unique activities that have attracted more than 200,000 children throughout Malaysia venturing into Scouting.


Members are made ​​up of different races, ethnicity, religion and different cultures. However, they adopt a policy and objectives, assuming that all Scout related. With a view to strengthen the brotherhood, the Jamboree was established. The objective of this Jamboree in addition to strengthening family ties is also aimed at strengthening and respect discipline. For the theme of the Jamboree was selected "DISCIPLINE OF STRONG STRONG" .


The first Jamboree in the world was held at Olympia, London in 1920, which later developed into the world in a variety of national and state levels.


Malaysia Jamboree the first was held in Penang in 1966 , both in Malacca in 1970 , third in Johore in1974 , fourth in Sarawak in 1978 , fifth in Naim in 1982 , sixth in Pahang prosper in the years 1986 and seventh in Perak .


Malaysian National Jamboree-7 was held in the Gulf of Batik , Manjung , Perak from 24th to 31st July 1989 in an area of lush forests and green. Natural state, fresh, rolling hills and beautiful sense of berpantai Jamboree area is attractive and appropriate for Scout camp.


More than 5,000 people will attend the Boy Scouts of this Jamboree scouts scouts Malaysia and beyond.
